Information

What is henna?
Henna is all natural and has been used for thousands of years to adorn the hands and feet of women for weddings and other auspicious occasions. Henna is made from a plant that has staining properties. The plant leaves are powdered and mixed into a paste with essential oils and other natural ingredients. The paste is then put into a cone (much like a cake decorating tool but with a very fine tip) and squeezed onto the skin. When the paste is removed, a reddish-brown stain is left behind. The design lasts for 1-2 weeks.

How does the process work?
*Relax as one of our artists apply a design onto your skin.
*Wait 15 minutes for the wet henna to dry (be careful: wet henna stains clothing)
*Wait at least 2 hours (or up to 10 hours) before removing dried henna paste
(the longer you leave the paste on your skin, the darker and longer lasting the resulting stain will be)
*Remove the dried henna paste by washing gently with water or brushing henna off of skin
*Be patient: the design will seem light in color at first but will continue to darken
for up to 48 hours after paste is removed
*The stain left behind on the skin will be reddish-brown and will last for 1-2 weeks
